(TUCSON, ARIZ.) — The Long Realty Cares Foundation has raised over $10,000 since early September during its annual “Ticket to Care” Raffle. All proceeds from the raffle benefit the work of the Long Realty Cares Foundation, which provides a venue for Long Realty Company sales associates and employees to collectively enhance the quality of life in Arizona by supporting a variety of different charities in the community.
The raffle concludes November 20 during the Long Realty Cares drawing and food drive event from 12 to 3 p.m. in the east parking lot of the Foothills Mall, 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd. Raffle winners will be drawn at 3 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring a donation for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
“The wonderful thing about the Ticket to Care Raffle is since all of the prizes were generously donated by local businesses, this is almost a no-cost fundraiser. 100 percent of the money raised will go directly into the community, instead of paying for fundraiser costs,” said President of the Foundation Board Susan Barry.
“2008 was the first year of raffle, which brought in over $8,500. We have come a long way in just a year,” she said.
Since its inception in 2002, the foundation has raised over $1.5 million dollars for over 160 different local non-profit charitable organizations.
The 13 prize packages total more than $13,000 and include dining certificates and golf and vacation packages. Single raffle tickets are $15, two tickets are $20, or 12 may be purchased for $100. Tickets are currently available for purchase at all Long Realty branch offices, at the food drive event (until 2:45 p.m.), or by calling the Long Realty Cares Foundation Administrator Michelle Salvagio at 520.918.3757.
